Volunteering with EAST:
People react with prejudice and denial to things they do not understand. Such reactions to HIV and AIDS hinder HIV prevention and make life more difficult for people living with HIV and AIDS.
As our services expand there are more opportunities for people to become involved. All volunteers receive training, supervision and support.
Help us to promote positive attitudes and to support our clients to make positive decisions and choices about life. We are looking for enthusiastic people from a wide variety of backgrounds to join us to become involved with:
- befriending
- practical support for clients
- fund raising
- EAST events administration
- training
- publicity
- driving and management
Training is provided to help volunteers with the skills and knowledge needed to work with EAST. Additional training is offered to those volunteers wanting to become involved in direct client support.
